The Recipe Card project was one of my earliest projects of my College Career. This project displays my skills in adobe Illustrator. The Recipe Card project is a set of recipe cards for Lemon themed recipes that all have some form of lemons in their ingredients. The intended audience for this project was for a small mom and pop store that would sell these cards in a box set. My role in this project was to create each card with a unique theme that would also represent what kind of store they would be sold in. For my theme I went for a royal Italian theme with the light and dark color, and I also go inspiration from the dollar bill with the Scrollwork having that same flourish around the main image and tapestry for the name. Then for the final part of this project was to create a box that could hold all of the cars and displays the same theme for the cards. The only roadblock I ran into during this project was how I wanted to display the images for the finished foods I would have liked to do an actual photo of each but unfortunate I could not find any free to use images for this project that would fit the theme. So, I went with an illustrated look which does kind of work it follows the same theme with the inspiration from the dollar bill to have an illustrated portrait in the middle. In the end this project fit the theme I was going for in a simplistic style that follows most designs today. The Recipe Cards project definitely displayed my early skills in illustrator and how I have adapted these skills into my newer projects while also making them look better.
